Too Good To Go - Bespoke Butchers ($10 for $45.66 worth of meats)

We visited Bespoke Butchers at their Danforth location to pick up a meat Too Good To Go Bag. Due to higher pricing, we don't normally shop organic/ethical/sustainable meats but we were very happy to try some through the app. Despite the lack of 'wow' in volume, we were pretty content with what we received. We paid $9.99 for over $45 worth of assorted meats.

Too Good To Go is a mobile application that connects customers to restaurants and stores that have surplus unsold food. Bespoke Butchers provides ethical, sustainable pasture-raised local farm-to-table meat, with three store locations here in Toronto. Lets explore our haul!

Chicken Drumstick (Certified Organic) - $16.77
Chicken Leg (Certified Organic) - $14.25
Merguez Lamb Sausage - $14.64

The Good:

Very nice store, in a great location in Toronto; conveniently located by a subway station on the TTC. The service was quick and friendly. We did a quick browse of the store and also picked up some bone broth.

The Bad:

Everything with the pickup went smoothly. Unfortunately, the Chicken Drumsticks had a really bad sour stench when we opened it. We believed it wasn't worth risking it and decided to not eat it and disposed it. We are not sure what caused this; we received these items quite cold and stored them frozen for the entire period.

The Delish:

These frozen items were packaged and labeled a week prior to the date of our pickup.

The NimNimNim (Cream of the crop) :

Despite the bad of one of the items, the other items were excellent and fresh. The sausages had a nice spicey kick and were delicious. It was great knowing we purchased ethical and sustainable meat -- something that is normally quite tough because of a tight budget.

💰Total: $45.66💰
💸We paid: $9.99💸
