Too Good To Go - Pilot Coffee Roasters ($5 for $14 worth of cookies!)

Our first trip to Pilot Coffee Roasters - we have not been here for a Too Good To Go bag nor as a regular customer. We paid $4.99 for $14.35 worth of cookies! This wasn't one of our better hauls but we still felt it was decent value.

Too Good To Go is a mobile application that connects customers to restaurants and stores that have surplus unsold food. Pilot Coffee Roasters is an ethically sourced, direct trade coffee cafe. As of the date of this post, they have 10 locations across Ontario. We visited their Bay and Bloor location for this pickup.

Lets explore our haul!

Our haul

The Good:

Pilot Coffee Roasters is situated in a nice part of Toronto, lots of foot traffic but kept very pristine. The staff were friendly and the service was prompt.

The Bad:

The cookies and brownie were slightly underwhelming overall. The cookies were all the same flavour - Oatmeal Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie; we were hoping for some more variety. The items were average in terms of taste and freshness.

The Delish:

Considering this is a higher end establishment compared to your franchised large-scale coffee chain, its understandable that the prices would be higher. Considering we only paid $5, this was good value.

The NimNimNim (Cream of the crop) :

Though this was not an amazing haul compared to our others, this was still a great experience. We love exploring and trying new establishments. We may not have ever tried this cafe had it not been for Too Good To Go.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie - $3.40 *3 = $10.20

Gluten Free Brownie - $4.15

💰Total: $14.35💰
💸We paid: $4.99💸
🤑That is a $9.36 savings!🤑
