Too Good To Go - Bento Sushi ($8 for $21.98 worth of Sushi)
A few weeks ago we were finally able to try a Too Good To Go Bag from Bento Sushi at their Holt Renfrew Centre location. We ate this the day we got it and felt the rolls were still very fresh. That scorpion stinger roll was spiccccy! 🌶️🥵
Too Good To Go is a mobile application that connects customers to restaurants and stores that have surplus unsold food. Bento Sushi is a large sushi brand that spans across North America. A lot of their products can be found at grocery stores and they have locations in many malls/food courts.
Lets explore our haul!
Scorpion Stinger Roll ($9.99)
Dynamite Crunch Roll ($11.99)
Total: $21.98
The Good:
We have likely had a Bento Sushi product and not even notice; their products are available in many grocery stores and chances are, you've probably seen and had their product too. We've never visited their physical location before so it was nice to pay them a visit. Their location was very clean and organized in a upscale mall, service was very friendly and quick.
The Bad:
Unfortunately, this did not meet the stated value of $24 (very small margin from reaching it). We don't normally have sushi because it is pricey but we were quite satisfied with our bag!
The Delish:
The food was fresh and delicious. See image below of us zooming into the sushi:
The NimNimNim (Cream of the crop) :
Despite this bag not reaching the minimum stated value, it was still a solid bag. We also got to try a roll we never had before (Scorpion Stinger Roll) -- which lives up to its name if you want a roll with some kick! The flavours and freshness were there. We would have been really happy and more satisfied if they had included one more roll.
