Too Good to Go - Sweet Addictions ($8 for $34.50 worth of pastries!)
This was a fun visit for us as we have not been to this bakery before. 'Sweet Addictions' is new not just to Too Good To Go but also new to the community. They were established just a month prior to our visit. We received a variety of sweet pastries that were Turkish and new to us.
Too Good To Go is a mobile application that connects customers to restaurants and stores that have surplus unsold food.
Sweet Addictions is located on Sherbourne and Wellesley St. It is a cozy grab and go store with a wide variety of sweet pastries including tarts and cookies to name a few.
Lets explore our haul!
The Good:
We found the service to be quick and friendly here. Plus points from us in that they provide the packaging and a bag to carry it out. Though we value sustainable packaging, it can sometimes be too much of a issue if you are running multiple errands and can only have so many hands to carry items.
The Bad:
We received a great deal when you consider $8 for over $34 worth of pastries but we personally did not feel that the pricing on certain items were in our price range, but we also understand that certain pastries require more expensive ingredients to make.
The Delish:
Everything was very fresh and flavourful. The only item we were not a huge fan of was the Revani, but that was nothing against the quality but more of a comment of our palette.
The NimNimNim (Cream of the crop) :
We purchased this large surprise bag as a dessert on our evening out. We always enjoy trying new food, and the fact that almost all of these pastries were new to us (only the banana loaf was familiar to us) made this such a great haul. The volume of food was so much and so filling that we were able to store the leftovers in the fridge to still enjoy the next day.
