Too Good To Go - 7-Eleven ($5 for $25 worth of Ready-To-Eat goods!)
We finally got to try a bag we've been eyeing out for some time, a 7-Eleven Ready-To-Eat bag!
Too Good To Go is a mobile application that connects customers to restaurants and stores that have surplus unsold food.
7-Eleven is of course a global brand of convenience store. Here in Toronto, they sell everything you can imagine, including prepared ready-to-eat food like we got here.
Lets explore our haul!
Egg, cheddar cheese & bacon muffin - $4.50 Just egg breakfast sandwich - $5.75 *2 = $11.50 Chicken Salad Sandwich - $5.95 Del Monte Pineapple Cup - Did not look at the price, would estimate ~$3-$4 |
The Good:
7-Eleven's pickup window made this a very convenient bag to obtain - the window was 12 hours. Items were individually wrapped well and they provided a durable and large paper bag.
The Bad:
Unfortunately, some of the items did not taste fresh. Every item was past its best before date and with the muffin/smaller sandwiches, it tasted evident. The chicken salad sandwich was still okay and the pineapple was very ripe but still solid.
The Delish:
Though the items were not fresh, the items still tasted pretty decent!
The NimNimNim (Cream of the crop) :
This is one of the cheaper bags you can find on Too Good To Go at only $5. We were happy with the volume we received (quick math would average an item for $1 each). This being 5 times its purchased value is pretty darn awesome.
💰Total: ~$25💰
💸We paid: $4.99💸
🤑That is a ~$20 savings!🤑
