Royal Caribbean - Labadee

Labadee was a great escape from our normal busy, crowded and loud city. Labadee is one of Royal Caribbean's private islands located in Haiti. Our plan was to have a relaxing time, we wanted to find a good snorkel spot and enjoy the sun. We had about 8 hours in this beautiful escape, and like our time at CocoCay, the time just flew by. If you have been to CocoCay but not Labadee, the best way to describe Labadee is it's CocoCay's mini version.

Food

The food at Labadee was delicious, it was similar to food you would find at a BBQ. We brought our food to our beach spot facing the water to enjoy both the scenery and our delicious spread.

Adrenaline Beach

Adrenaline Beach

We are not adrenaline junkies but our natural exploration through the island lead us to this spot which was perfect and not crowded. Pro Tip: Get off the ship early and get to the island fast if you want to lock a good spot before the crowds come! We spent the majority of our time here because there is a pocket on this side of the island that was protected from the strong waves that day. There was a wall that protected us from the waves which gave us a great opportunity to have a peaceful snorkeling experience. Unfortunately, due to the waves it made the waters quite murky with the moving sand so the underwater sights were not great.

Nellie's Beach

This would have been our Plan B if we did not find a good spot in Adrenaline beach. It had a beautiful view on the horizon of the docked cruise ship. Though we simply walked by as we liked our spot at Adrenaline Beach, we found that the waters were nice and calm, the beach goers here looked like they enjoyed their time here as well.
